GRATEFUL… my word for 2018.

By Geva Lester

GRATEFUL... that is my word for 2018. It’s hard to believe that a New Year is ahead of us and it’s 2018. As I reflect back on 2017 I am feeling very grateful. On a personal note, we are grateful to be a part of the community that we live in and to have such a full and vibrant life. And from a business prospective, we are grateful to all of my clients, friends, neighbors and family members that have trusted us with their business and/or referred us to somebody they know. Buying and selling a house is one of the biggest investments you will make in your lifetime and I take that responsibility very seriously. Thank you!

Five years ago, I had a vision. I was an IT consultant that was ready to do something new and different. Perhaps I read too much Oprah about living your best life and now I feel like I am now doing that. I walked away from my stable 9-5 corporate job for this job as a REALTOR®. Now my job is now unpredictable, interesting, and challenging. I am happy I took the leap to do something that I’m passionate about. And again, I am so grateful to all of you that have helped me build my business year over year. As we finish off 2017, I am honored to be recognized by the Washingtonian magazine in 2017 as a top-selling real estate agent in the region.

What does 2018 have in store for the real estate market? Well if you watch the video below, you will see that that median sales prices INCREASED between December 2016 and December 2017 in most jurisdictions. However, the number of properties sold DECREASED in most places. This reflects the low housing inventory experienced throughout 2017. As the spring market begins, there is a good deal of pent up demand for houses. If you are thinking about selling your home, now is a great time, let’s setup a time to talk. We have a comprehensive plan for listing and selling your home. Let’s talk!
